Back in Berlin!
Ever since I moved back to Sweden ten years ago, Berlin has had a special place in my heart. I traveled back and forth for a while, maybe to phase out the tough decision of leaving and adjust to my new life in Sweden, but now, it's been a few years since I last visited this vibrant city.

I have to say though, it felt very much the same as when I lived there, isn't that strange? Some things had changed of course, big cities like Berlin are constantly developing and changes direction, but the energy felt similar.

During the first part of the week, I was on my own at this photo conference called Way up North. And I was thrilled when two of my best friends joined me later in the week, together we had a blast!

Together with Scott & Joe, we discovered some new cool spots, so let me share a few of them if you're into good wine and food ;-)
Berlin tips
01. BAR
Giri
A popular place with a welcoming vibe, and seems to be a combo between café, bar and club with different kind of events and gigs.
Hermannstraße 14
02. BAR
Blanc de fuck
The loveliest people were welcoming us in this cosy little gem, serving natural wines and smaller delicious dishes. We spent hours there hanging out with the locals and we never wanted to leave!
Lenaustraße 10
03. RESTAURANT/BAR
Baret
To get a view of the city centre, head over to this lovely rooftop bar and restaurant. We stayed for a cocktail and some snacks during the afternoon, but I've head it's amazing for the Berlin sunsets.
Schloßplatz
04. RESTAURANT/BAR
Bar Basta
Oh lord we were hungover and we were in need of this place! Some of us (*cough* Joe *cough*) had a recovery drink, while me and Scott settled for the smoothest "fluffy orange juice" I've ever tasted. The creamy scrambled eggs were to die for.
Rosenthaler Straße 53
05. HOTEL
Amano Mitte
This is definitely still my favourite hotel in Berlin. Maybe I haven't explored enough, but when I compared prices, location and dezzign, which is something I definitely appreciate, this tops my list! They have a sweet rooftop bar for summer, and a ground floor cocktail bar open Fri-Sat which is just mmmmm. And then you have all of Mitte close by, and not to mention Auguststraße, full of typical Berlin spots.
Augustraße 43
06. HOTEL
Adina
Berlin is honestly full of great AirBnb's, but if you travel on your own (like me usually) or for a short time, you might prefer a hotel. So besides Amano and all their other hotels, I can really recommend these three from Design hotels. Also Adina in Hackescher Markt is worth its value! There's plenty more, give me should if you need a bit of guidance.
An d. Spandauer Brücke 11
07. CAFÉ
Isla
We went here for breakfast once, but would've gone here every morning if we knew about it before. Friendly staff, great breakfast with unexpected flavours, and, of course, delicious coffee.
Hermannstraße 37
08. RESTAURANT
Burro Unchained
The most deeelicous food for our mood at that moment. Scott had this pinned on his map and we were all so grateful for it. If only we had a place like that in Malmö, I'd be a regular.
Allerstraße 11

Send me an email and I'd be happy to give to more tips and recommendations!
